Men's Retreat 2010
There is an air of excitement about 50-60 men from all over Alaska arriving at a gold camp by various means of transportation including aircraft, ATVs or walking the 15- 20 miles into the camp. The trek into the camp is across some of the most scenic landscape in all of Alaska, and just adds to the excitement of the weekend. Although most of South Central Alaska was rainy, it was sunny at the 2010 Alaska Men's Retreat on the Caribou Watershed July 23-25, 2010.
Guest speaker Jim Ayres (pictured left) is Director of Adventist World Radio and shared many inspirational stories of the work around the world. In addition, he shared his own testimony of God’s leading him to Christ. An excellent Sabbath School was taught by Aaron Payne, pastor of the Palmer Church.
President Ken Crawford admitted “This is one of my favorite weekends of the whole year; there is something about getting together with men of like faith that is bonding and inspiring.”
