The Youth/Young Adults department is designed to a) provide resources for youth/young adults and their families as well as b) provide fellowship and ministry opportunities throughout Alaska. The conference supports church and school ministries through:
The majority of youth activities happen on a church and/or school basis. Several churches have active Pathfinder clubs--Juneau, Palmer, Anchorage, Bethel, Dillingham, Kenai and Tok all have active clubs. As a result, the conference offers its annual camporee at the Palmer Pioneer Peak camp ground each Memorial Day weekend.
Another fellowship opportunity is the Youth Prayer Conference that is held each spring. Designed for youth ages 13-18, it is an opportunity for kids to come together, enjoy food, fun and most importantly spiritual growth.
The Alaska Conference provides support and encouragement to young adults who are going to college, entering the work force as young professionals, and continuing to be involved in the ministry of their local church.
Each fall, young adults come together for the annual Young Adult Leadership Training. The training is designed for those wanting to develop and lead a ministry in their church.
